Wages up for workers in Central Oregon

 In Local News

The Oregon Employment Department is reporting a wage increase for workers in the region. For the past 3 years, wages have been on the rise mainly due to the tight labor supply.  On average pay has increased by 8-point 3 percent since the end of 2014. Low unemployment and a maturing phase of the business cycle will continue to keep the pressure on wages which could lead to inflation if employers have to pass the additional costs on to consumers.
