House fire in NE Prineville destroys home

Fire destroyed a home in NE Prineville on Saturday afternoon with a family of 5 getting out of the home safely. According to Crook County Fire they were called to the scene shortly after 2 pm with the house being fully engulfed. It took firefighters 3 hours to get the fire under control. The attic was on fire when crews arrived. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
